Join Hans to learn the ins and outs of getting upside down!
Turn your world upside down with this fun workshop that will introduce you to some of the fundamental yoga inversions such as Forearm Stand (Sirsasana), Shoulder Stand (Sarvangasana), Feathered peacock (Pincha Mayurasana) Headstand (Salamba Sirsasana), Handstand (Adho Mukha Vrkasana) and more!
Inversions can seem daunting at first if you have never tried them. During the session you will be shown how to work progressively and safely into each posture and given guidance as to which exercises to practice in order to improve your strength and increase confidence in these poses. We will start with some appropriate warm up stretches and forward folds, to get used to the head being lower than the heart, before breaking each inversion down into manageable sections.
You will need to have practiced some yoga in order to get the most from this workshop, but other than that just bring along a note book, a smile and an eagerness to try! I look forward to seeing you on the mats.
