The 2019 autumnal equinox falls on Monday 23rd September this year. At this time, the planet is divided into approximately equal parts day and night and we begin to shift towards shorter days and longer nights. We are invited to turn inwards and seek the light within as we prepare for winter. This is a time for grounding and inviting balance into our lives.
Mark the autumnal equinox and the shift into a new season with an afternoon of yoga and reflection. Join Emily for a nurturing yin-yang practice that will aim to create internal heat, balancing the vata energy of the autumn season, before moving into a grounding and nourishing yin practice. Expect props, blankets, soothing music, and more! Our practice will conclude with an extended autumnal meditation to more fully immerse ourselves in the cycles of nature.
Following the event, stick around for a cup of homemade chai and relaxed conversation. Gift bags will be provided to all students with goodies to help you shift into autumn with ease and balance.
Please bring a journal and pen for reflective journaling prompts, and dress comfortably. Feel free to bring slippers and cozy socks.’
